Diary of a man down under - Day 16

By neil, 4 March, 2011

Well so much for the walking today! Woke up to rain, so had a wander around the Museum of Brisbane. It's not really a museum in the usual sense. It has no permanent exhibits. Instead it acts as a space for temporary exhibitions. Currently they have an exhibition on skateboarding in Brisbane and on one the telegraph system.

Then had a wander around the CBD, including a while in a music/technology shop that started playing REM's new album; so that passed most of an hour!

By the time I left it gad stopped raining so started on the walk I'd planned. The first section is along the river, so a few paths were closed off where repairs ate being done to buildings damaged in January's floods. Unfortunately, it soon started raining heavily again, so decided to head back to the hotel. Just glad I had the umbrella with me, and that the camera case has a waterproof cover built in to it! The main worry now is how long will this rain last and is Brisbane at risk of further floods?

Re the aircon and the key. Fold some card up and put that into the slot to keep the a/c going.
